As a conductor, Daniel has conducted several premiere performances of his works. He led the Jacksonville University Wind Ensemble in their Symphonic Sampler concert in which the premiere of his Elemental Variations was the headlining performance. He served as an assistant conductor to all three Jacksonville University ensembles – choir, wind ensemble, and orchestra – the only student in the school’s history to hold all three positions simultaneously.

Assistant Conductor for the Jacksonville University Wind Ensemble - 2018

As a member of the Band Conducting II Course offered at Jacksonville University, Daniel Farrell served as an Assistant Conductor to the Jacksonville University Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Professor Artie Clifton. Daniel regularly conducted the Jacksonville University Wind Ensemble several times throughout the semester, and participated in an informal masterclass with renowned conductor and composer Frank Ticheli. Daniel led the Jacksonville University Wind Ensemble during their Symphonic Sampler concert, conducting the premiere performance of his own new work: Elemental Variations. Assistant Conductor for the Jacksonville University Orchestra - 2018

As a member of the Orchestra Conducting II Course offered at Jacksonville University, Daniel Farrell served as an Assistant Conductor to the Jacksonville University Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Marguerite Richardson. Daniel regularly conducted the full Jacksonville University Orchestra several times throughout the semester, focusing on the preparing the group for performance of several new and standard repertoire works. As a member of the Choral Conducting II Course offered at Jacksonville University, Daniel Farrell served as an Assistant Conductor to the Jacksonville University Choir, under the direction of Dr. Tim Snyder. Daniel regularly conducted the Choral Conducting class several times throughout the semester, focusing on the nuances of choral direction, the study of text, and working with young or inexperienced vocalists.
